DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Qualifications:  * One to Three years experience in Estimating and/or Purchasing  * Experience in commercial / institutional construction or equivalent experience  * Associate degree in related field, preferably Construction Management or Engineering

Essential Job Functions:  * Responsible for material takeoff, labor calculation, and associated pricing.  * Developing, updating, and completing project scope sheets.  * Subcontractor and vendor solicitation, proposal scoping, and pricing review.  * Preliminary project schedule input and review.  * Constructability reviews with project management and field staff.  * Conducting/organizing/attending project site visits.  * Generation of requests-for-information (RFIs) and review of RFI responses.  * Writing bid clarifications, assumptions, and exclusions.  * Participation with the estimating department, project management, and field staff in project review meetings.  * Participation in design meetings, owner meetings, and project presentations.  * Development of value engineering ideas and pricing.  * Assistance with subcontract buyout, purchase orders, and project turnover.  * Developing and maintaining relationships with owners, designers, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors.  * Will serve on and may chair various company committees as appointed.  * Promote the interests and favorable image of the High Companies. Support and sustain the values of the High Philosophy.   * Perform special assignments as directed.
