Opportunity

Kohler Co.’s award winning creative collective is seeking a dynamic eCommerce focused Senior Copywriter to join the growing team.

This passionate and motivated individual will be responsible for concepts, designs, and strategy eCommerce for Kohler’s Direct to Consumer and eTail (Ecommerce) business.

You will collaborate with designers, artists, the photo studio, and business partners to help fulfill cross-channel initiatives. Your elevated aesthetic and bold thinking will ensure the continued evolution of premium brands across all major media and markets, as well as kohler.com

Specific Responsibilities

  • The Sr. Copywriter – Ecommerce, plays a key role in supporting the digital creatives on all key marketing initiatives with a focus on social media/eCommerce and kohler.com content creation, digital campaign activation as well as other miscellaneous support to support the digital marketing effort in the North America region.

  • The Senior Copywriter must excel in the digital landscape and be familiar with the market trends and latest creative commerce formats and customer needs. Ideally, the writer would have some UI/UX background with full funnel selling.

  • The Senior Copywriter must have a good understanding of premium and luxury online marketing; possess a passion for results, and editorial & advertising design and trends.

  • The Senior Copywriter must be extremely detail oriented, working together with eCommerce partners to uphold Kohlers’ stringent design standards. Designer should be self-sufficient and able to lead small projects on their own with input from creative leadership.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the Design Hub and marketing team to work collaboratively with the eCommerce team to fulfill their strategic needs. Review and correct the global developed assets with the direction of Creative Directors. Collaborate and execute with the brand vision across multiple platforms.

  • Provide copywriting and creative support for EC/social media needs

  • Support the revision and enhancement work for the global developed localized contents.

  • Be part of the team to brainstorm content strategy

  • Support larger digital team on general writing needs where suitable as determined by team lead (projects may include kohler.com updates, email, banners, app)

  • Prepare and manage retouching and other production needs on own projects

  • Participate in internal meetings as well as interact with external vendors where needed

  • Ensure the level of excellence in all creative work produced and executed is consistent, cohesive and stays on-brand

  • Integrate ongoing feedback from Global Creative to ensure designs are aligned with Global standards, while remaining relevant to the local market.

Skills/Requirements

  • 7+years of experience in advertising or an idea-led in-house agency.

  • 3+ years of experience.

  • A portfolio which demonstrates innovative thinking, an elegant aesthetic, cross-channel campaign work, and cultural awareness.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.

  • A passion for luxury and premium spaces, both personally and professionally.

  • Experience with motion.

  • Willing to wear multiple hats.

  • Solution-oriented, nimble problem solver, compassionate collaborator.

  • Understands the importance of details.

  • Clear and confident presenter, active listener.

  • Experienced in both print and digital mediums.

  • Experienced in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

  • Experience with the Microsoft suite, especially PowerPoint and OneDrive, is a plus.

  • Experience in a video editing platform is a plus.

  • Hospitality and luxury brand experience is a plus.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $89,800 - $114,100. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
