ProDims is seeking a Junior Estimator who will be in charge of conducting accurate cost analyses and estimates for the company.   They will be responsible for preparing preliminary estimates for conceptual projects and assisting our Senior Estimators with direct cost reports. Our Junior Estimator will follow company procedures to facilitate and define project scope, as well as use their financial expertise to prepare effective proposals in a deadline-driven environment. They will also help with pricing schedules, participate in proposal preparation, and perform technical assessments to facilitate analysis functions.  In all tasks, the junior estimator will follow project specifications and any relevant confidentiality rules.

Additionally, the junior estimator candidate will complete risk analyses of data related to program costs. They prepare detailed reports based on economic assessments of key indicators, as well as assist with preapproval of estimates using limited information such as project scope and relevant precedents. Junior estimators may also be asked to conduct post-project costs analyses, provide input on competitive bids and negotiated contracts, conduct data collection, and develop models. Any and all reports will be approved by the Senior Estimator.

• An Associates, or Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is required for this job.

• 1-3 year's previous experience as an estimator in the construction field.

   

• Well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities including project managers, customers, clients, subcontractors, and staff.

   

• Strong oral and written communication skills and employs effective listening skills.

   

• Self-starter, highly motivated and goal oriented, quick, sharp, confident, assertive, and ethical.

   

• Excellent attention to detail with emphasis placed on quality. Highly organized with a systematic approach to tasks to achieve accuracy and efficiency.
