Job Title: Welder

Job Description

This role centers around TIG Welding on gas turbine alloys, with some MIG. Main responsibilities include setting up and installing welding equipment, executing welding on gas turbine components as per the required technical specification, quality checking of completed work before operation step confirmation, and preparing and confirming required quality documentation. The Welder will also report used production time per production step, set up welding parameters, select consumable materials, and prepare work pieces for new welding process trials in collaboration with the engineering staff. Furthermore, the role includes designing and fabricating welding fixtures, chill blocks, and purge boxes as necessary.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 18 Week(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in JUPITER, FL.

Work Environment

The job involves working in a warehouse environment with air conditioning. Steel toes are a must. The welder will have the opportunity to rotate between different departments to gain diverse skills. Work shifts include a 1st shift from 5:30am to 4:00pm and a 2nd shift from 3:30pm-2:00am. Safety shoes rated by ASTM F 2413-05 or ANSI Z41-1999 are required. These must have I/C (Impact/compression), EH (electrical hazard) & SD (Static Dissipative) protection.
