Aerotek Inspector in Jupiter, Florida

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Inspector to perform visual inspections on manufactured parts and use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. The successful candidate will perform assessments on various gas turbine components by following written procedures, documents, and established practices. The role also includes performing NDT inspections as required (X-ray, FPI, ultrasonic, etc.), executing First Article Inspection Report inspections, and maintaining documentation. The Inspector is expected to interface with engineering and order execution regarding recommendations for work instruction and router improvements.

Hard Skills

  • NDT or FPI experience

  • 3+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector

  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment

  • Experience with First Article Inspection Report inspections

Soft Skills

  • Ability to cooperate and work with people

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 18 Week(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Jupiter, Florida.

Work Environment

You will be working in an industrial turbine manufacturing facility in an AC production warehouse. The shifts available are 1st shift from 5:30am to 4:00pm and 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 2:00am. Safety shoes rated by ASTM F 2413-05 or ANSI Z41-1999 with I/C (Impact/compression), EH (electrical hazard) & SD (Static Dissipative) protection are required. The role involves physical requirements such as stooping/crouching, kneeling, crawling, reaching, standing for sustained periods of time, walking, pushing & pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs, grasping, and repetitive motion. The worker is required to have close visual acuity for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, operation of machines, using measurement devices, and assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. The role may subject the worker to noise, hazards including proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, exposure to high heat or chemicals, and may require travel (air & ground) with short notice. The worker is also required to wear required PPEs for specific tasks performed, such as respirators, Tyvek suit, gloves, face shield, etc.
