Overview:The Fleet Supervisor provides oversight of Fleet Maintenance, responsible for managing the drivers and processes to ensure the efficient operation of our fleet. Maintaining the highest standards of safety and vehicle reliability for the organization to maximize operational readiness.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive fleet maintenance strategy that focuses on preventive maintenance.Maintenance Scheduling: Oversee the development and execution of maintenance schedules for all vehicles, including routine inspections, repairs, and servicing.

Driver Scheduling: Schedule drivers to ensure optimization of time and mileage as well as excellent customer service and response time.

Driver Support: The Fleet Supervisor is expected to be in the field supporting the drivers and assisting with customer needs when not performing specific fleet maintenance duties.Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with maintenance vendors.Budget Management: Manage the department budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations.Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of vehicle maintenance and safety.Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including DOT (Department of Transportation) and company policies, to maintain safe and compliant operations.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience as a manager or supervisor in a distribution environment.

• Strong knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance procedures.

• Knowledge of DOT regulations.

• Excellent leadership and management skills.

• Budget management and cost control experience.

• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in using route management software.

• Dispatching and routing experience
