Eaton Corporation Manager - Manufacturing Engineering in IND, United States

What you’ll do:

This position would focus on designing, implementing and reviewing of manufacturing processes and selection of equipments as per the Product design and Manfacturing feasibility. Performs periodic Process checks, identify process gaps, works on eliminating non-conformances through appropriate Problem-solving techniques such as DoE, Process Capability study, SPC, PFMEA etc.

Ensures production & test equipments uptime and follow strong TPM practices to eliminate breakdown & reduce set-up time

Key deliverables include ZERO Customer complaints due to Process issues,First Pass Yield, Cost of Non-conformance( scrap/warranty),MTTR/MTBF, Preventive Maintenance Schedule adherence, Repair & maintenance Budget control

• Responsible for process design and implementation for any new products introduced into the plant and do process validation and approval for New products and ensure Process capabilities through Cp/Cpk run.

• Be part of the CFT members involved in the NPI process and review and take actions on the phase-wise activity matrix and confirm manufacturing readiness to work package approver

• Responsible for new Jigs and fixture development

• Conduct Process checks at appropriate intervals to ensure conformance to SOP’s/ WIN’s and take lead in Problem solving and ensure appropriate corrective actions are put in place for any non-conformances identified.

• Perform Process FMEA for all the products manufactured in the site and maintain PFMEA and control plans upto date with appropriate changes as identified during various problem-solving events.

• Perform Process capability study (Cp/Cpk) study and DoE as appropriate and take necessary actions to keep Processes under control

• Responsible for Machine uptime for Production and Testing Equipments, Spend planning and control for Repair & maintenance Ledger

• Lead implementation of TPM practices in the site and ensure appropriate spares maintenance on time

• Lead implementation of Lean Manufacturing in shop-floor with the support of Production and CI team

• Active participation in daily Tier meetings to drive accountability for self and within the team

Qualifications:

Any Bachelor or Masters degree in Engg.

15+ years of Experience in Process Engineering in an Electronics product Manufacturing/Assembly Industry

Skills:

1) 6+ years of experience in processes like Manual wave and reflow soldering, Ultrasonic welding, Potting, Heat stacking, Hot stamping etc.

2) Hands-on experience in DoE, PFMEA, Control plan, DoE, Cp/Cpk, SPC etc.involved

3) Hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma ( Mini-tab,Anova etc.) – Green Belt or above

4) Good Understanding of ESD requirements for Electronic manufacturing.
