OhioMeansJobs Summit County and a local rubber manufacturer are partnering to find a 2nd Shift Line Tech. We specialize in mixing clean and consistent color rubber{rel="nofollow"} and black rubber{rel="nofollow"} compounds, developing polymer formulas{rel="nofollow"}, and providing lab testing{rel="nofollow"} for companies throughout the rubber industry. Our industry leading chemists and technical team have the knowledge to help improve the quality and performance of your rubber product. Therefore we can reduce scrap rates, and lower cost while maintaining predictable and consistent physical properties. Duties:

• Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance to requirements.
• Read work orders to determine production specifications or information.
• Mix or blend ingredients by starting machines and missing for specified times.
• Compound or process ingredients or dyes, according to formulas.
• Examine materials, ingredients or products visually or with hands to ensure conformance to established standards.
• Operate or tend machines to mix or blend any of a wide variety of materials.
• Collect sample of materials or products for laboratory testing.

Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs throughout shift
• Driver's license and reliable transportation required
• Forklift experience is beneficial
