The Machinist will operate a variety of machines to perform assigned tasks. These tasks will include producing or repairing precision parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements.

Responsibilities: * Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines. * Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints and samples to ensure accurate production of parts. * Takes precise measurements for cutting and shaping. * Selects appropriate machine and settings to perform given tasks. * Plans proper process steps and methodology prior to performing each modification. * Maintains machine shop replacement stock and raw materials; submits requisitions for such materials to the machine shop supervisor. * Follows a Machine Shop Priority List, for daily priorities. Parts are kept organized by work order; coordinates closure of work completed. * Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects. * Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs. * Maintains a safe and clean workstation. * Assist with building new or critical assemblies on the floor as needed. * Demonstrates understanding and proper use of PPE at all times.

Qualifications: High school degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly required. Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Excellent coordination and mechanical skills * Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety * Solid written and verbal communication skills * Proficient in math * Basic computer skills * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks

The expected salary range for this position is $46,000 - 58,000 + bonus + benefits. When determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
