What You Will Be Doing

A strong background in forensic lab practices and procedures, evidence handling, and testifying as an expert witness is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

-Conduct computer forensic investigations and electronic discovery requests for legal and corporate clients, using proprietary methodologies and forensic tools

-Interact with CEO and Manager of Security & Assurance Services during investigations to identify causality, exposures and impact of potential breach

-Support the Technology Group by communicating to Security managers, Partners, Clients, Attorneys, Law firms, and litigation support firms when needed

Perform detailed cyber security related forensic investigations and audits on clients in the financial, healthcare, and SMB markets. You will be responsible for performing investigations, audits, and testing of controls in Network Vulnerability Assessments and will be an essential part of Incident Response and Breach Engagements. This position requires competency in computer forensics, electronic discovery, and information security.

What You Need for this Position

-Must possess an AS, BA or BS degree in MIS, Computer Science, Digital Forensics or Cybersecurity.

-1-3 years' experience with assessing federal regulations such as HIPAA, SEC, FFIEC, GLBA, GDPR required.

-Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Global Information Assurance Certification Forensic Examiner (GCFE), Global Information Assurance Certification Forensic Analyst (GCFA). Desired certifications are GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM), GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA), GIAC Advanced Smartphone Forensics (GASF), GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI) preferred.

-The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience with the following operating systems: Windows, Macintosh, Linux or UNIX, and DOS.

-Strong experience and expertise with Windows, AD, and Cisco environments. High absorption rate for understanding new technologies and maintaining currency with industry trends.

-Must have understanding of information systems security; network architecture; general database concepts; document management; hardware and software troubleshooting; electronic mail systems, such as Exchange and GroupWise; Microsoft Office applications and O365 experience preferred.

-Must be able to conduct exams on compromised computers, servers and any other related hardware in conjunction with a proficiency in conducting live analysis on networks and multiple platforms.

-Must possess the ability to correlate results from investigations and/or scans into useful recommendations based on best business practice and regulatory standards

-Possess a working knowledge of security compliance criteria, best practices, policy and procedure review, gap analysis, and risk assessments.

-Excellent communication skills. Ability to translate technical terms into business-related decisions for management and clients.

-Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in an efficient and effective manner and with minimal supervision.

-The ability to maintain confidentiality and trust is critical as well as the ability to work extremely well under pressure while maintaining a professional image and approach with clients is critical.
