DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Tax Appeals Reviewer you will receive newly filed appeals, review them for timeliness and completeness, and enter them into the Revenue Appeals Processing System. You will have the opportunity to adjudicate routine issues involving various tax programs, review relevant materials, and correspond with taxpayers, attorneys, or taxpayer representatives to obtain necessary information to resolve the appeal. This position accounts for all payments received at the Board, posting, and processing.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Choice of work schedule between 7:00 AM-9:00 AM start time and 3:00 PM-5:00 PM end time, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience in preparing or reviewing tax returns to determine tax liability; or An associate's degree in accounting; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
