DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role involves actively participating in the senior engineering aspects of air emission testing for stationary sources in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The main responsibilities include overseeing and observing testing activities conducted by contractors, as well as reviewing, evaluating, and approving test protocols. Additionally, you will lead a field team in performing source testing and validating the test results. Some key skills required for this position include reviewing regulations, technical guidance, standard operating procedures, sampling methodologies, and analytical procedures. You will also be involved in sampling activities as part of a DEP test team, working in hazardous and industrial environments as well as on stack sampling platforms. Furthermore, you will utilize engineering calculations to determine production and emission rates.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment. Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Overtime and travel on occasion to accommodate agency needs. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to three days per week (subject to change by upper management). In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years as an Air Quality Engineering Specialist; or Three years of professional experience in air quality engineering or environmental engineering, and possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or Four years of professional experience in air quality engineering or environmental engineering, and possession of a valid Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or Three years of professional experience in air quality engineering or environmental engineering, and a bachelor's degree in the field of engineering. Graduate study in chemical, mechanical, electrical or environmental engineering may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for- year basis. Conditions of Employment:
