Your responsibilities Summary: Plans, designs, and coordinates manufacturing process for new and existing products. Optimize workflows and enhance production capabilities for off-road and motorsport shock absorbers. Contributes to or leads in the development, design and validation of both existing & start up manufacturing & assembly of our high-quality products while minimizing costs and maximizing productivity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Plans and coordinates manufacturing process engineering and time-to-market Is responsible for the readiness of all new product Interfaces with Quality, Logistics, Maintenance, Product Engineering personnel to assure timely production support. Performs engineering studies & analyses on existing manufacturing processes to improve process reliability, problem solve, or to improve product quality & cost. Leads continuous improvement activities of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment. Leads Six Sigma projects as well as other Kaizen Proactively identifies opportunities for productivity gains and implements improvements in manufacturing processes. Develops a project management approach to solve manufacturing deficiencies such as setting up time reduction efforts. Develops and maintains a solid and professional communication path for interfacing with Product Engineering, Quality, and Sales (change management). Plans and implements workplace layouts to optimize process flow and Creates and maintains easy-to-read manufacturing work instructions Consults with tool manufacturers to determine appropriate equipment and specifications for replacement tools and tool optimizations. Using appropriate statistical techniques develops validation protocols, complete process capability studies & process validation. Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same. Your profile Qualifications & Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering preferably in the automotive industry. Experience with designing production fixtures & tooling Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, tooling, and assembly methods. Proficiency in Kaizen and Six Sigma. Proficiency in Solidworks design and assemblies or another CAD software. Hand
