Kendrick Plastics Controls Engineer in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Responsible to improve m

anufacturing operations through lean initiatives

and

implementing innovative manufacturing ideas and concepts

.

Improve manufacturing efficiency through analysis and work flow planning. 

Reduce scrap through root cause analysis.

 

  1. Listen and work with the operators and maintenance.  
  2. Assisting the Controls Engineer.  
  3. Program cameras and PLC's  
  4. Improve set-up time reduction.  
  5. Create and verify Poke-Yoke.  
  6. Creation and update of Work Instruction.  
  7. Complete Line layouts.  
  8. Establish Standardized Work Instructions.   
  9. Ensure proper WIP / Component presentation to the operators  
  10. Troubleshoot machine faults.  
  11. Take corrective actions and assist with the repair of machines  
  12. PFMEA creation and update  
  13. Cognex and Keyence Camera operation - train others and perform updates.  
  14. Control of processes through - process set up sheets and verification of processes running properly  
  15. Complete DOE's  
  16. Actively participate in 8D process to improve operations.   

Position Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

Entry level to 3 years 

 

Demonstrate excellent written, oral and math skills?
