Your day.

Work alongside team of 9 APPs and full complement of engaged cardiologists including General, Interventional, Structural, and EP.

  • You would practice at St. Mary’s Cardiology Clinic and St. Mary's Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO

  • Your schedule will consist of 4 10 hour days, days off will vary and will include one weekend every 4 to 6 weeks

  • This position will include a mix of inpatient rounding days and clinic days

  • Routine follow ups, acute visits, post procedure patients, post hospital follow ups, and helping with titration of meds for HF and HTN.

  • Assist with med refills and collaborations with clinic nurses on patient calls

  • Potential to help with EP, duties would include helping with device management, and EP Patients in clinic pre and post procedures.

  • Potential to help with structural heart- duties would include attending multidisciplinary valve case conferences, seeing patients post procedure in hospital and help facilitate discharge from hospital. Seeing post discharge patients in clinic. Helping with pre-procedure education for TAVR and TMVR patients.

Your experience.

  • NP PA License, APRN preferred

  • Experience in cardiology services care management, preferred

  • New grads will be considered but must be passionate about cardiology, enthusiastic, flexible, and energetic. A cover letter demonstrating traits, skills, and reasons you’d like to work in cardiology and live in Grand Junction, CO is highly recommended

  • Active, unobstructed Colorado medical license, or the ability to obtain one

  • Ability to successfully complete St. Mary’s credentialing process

Physical Requirements:

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).- and -May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$43.16 - $79.15
