Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Estimating Administrator. The Estimating Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting our estimating department by assisting with various administrative tasks related to the estimating process. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initial Verification and Setup of Requests For Quote (RFQ): Responsible for setting up RFQs in the quote system and validating all relevant information required for bidding a project.
  • Design Tank Per Size Specifications: Utilize Excel to design tanks according to size specifications and ensure compliance with minimum code requirements.
  • Interface with Sales and Estimating Team: Serve as an effective communicator, interfacing daily with the sales and estimating team to ensure accurate and timely project bids.
  • Review Bid Specifications: Read through bid specifications, extract relevant information, and convey the full scope of work in the RFQ.
  • Coordinate Bid Preparation: Coordinate with team members to ensure customers are provided with quotes in a timely manner.
  • File Estimating Documents: Organize and file all project documents in the correct folders on the server.
  • Lead Bid Preparation Meetings: Set up and lead internal bid preparation meetings with department heads for projects that are high risk, high dollar, or have stringent commercial or technical requirements.
  • Assist with Quote Prioritization: Assist estimating with queue prioritization to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • 2-year degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • 2 years of related work experience preferred.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Advanced Excel skills are strongly preferred, including proficiency in advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Proficient use of Adobe PDF.
  • Industry-related experience is a plus.
  • Experience reading specifications and drawings is a plus.
