CTG is seeking to fill an Electrical Engineer opening for our client in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Location : Fredericksburg, VA

Duration : 6 months

Duties:

You will be responsible for providing EMF/RF analysis and problem resolution using technical simulation modeling software, EMF/RFI site surveys, knowledge of industry best practices for mitigating EMF/RF interference, preparing technical reports, specifications, value engineering and undertaking technical investigation studies for more complex projects and solutions requiring atypical designs.

Other responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement engineering processes.

• Work with architects and other design teams to refine EMF/RF solutions.

• Review and comment on Contractor RFIs, material submissions, shop drawings and support project & construction management teams.

• Work in a lab environment assembling, modifying, and testing prototypes.

• Document and specify components/assemblies for materials, processes, tolerances, and inspection techniques in accordance with departmental standards.

Here’s what you’ll need:

• BEng or BSc in Electrical Engineering.

• At minimum, have taken and passed the FE exam or planning to take it within the next 8 months.

• Ability to apply design principles and techniques for electrical engineering, organize and prioritize multiple projects and process information with speed and accuracy.

• Problem solving skills with the ability to become hands on involved when needed.

• Strong communication, organizing, planning, and inter-personal skills.

• Willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally (50% Travel required).

• Must be proficient with Microsoft office products.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.

• Must have initiative. Will work independently and collectively.

• Must possess a strong desire to learn and build technical knowledge.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group is required.
