Job Opportunity: Commercial Roofing Estimator

We are on the hunt for an assertive, dynamic, and ambitious Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who excels both in conceptual thinking and paying meticulous attention to details. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates, negotiating contracts on potential projects, and should possess a strong background in estimation with a wealth of experience in the field.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently estimate, compile bids, and generate proposals ensuring timely completion.

• Conduct site visits to gather essential bidding information.

• Collaborate with the sales team to prepare proposals, aiming for completion ahead of customer deadlines.

• Ensure proposed project bids are in line with company bidding procedures, focusing on accuracy of overall costs.

• Review contracts to confirm accuracy in price and scope.

• Prepare and submit package submissions, notices of award for manufacturer guarantees, and change order estimates for approval.

• Request purchase orders and participate in pre-construction and pre-job meetings, facilitating a smooth transition from estimating to project management.

• Coordinate project activities to achieve successful goals, focusing on completing projects on time and within budget.

• Handle project closeout documents and partake in post-job cost analysis to enhance future project estimations.

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of various roofing systems, materials, construction processes, design, code compliance, and manufacturer's warranty requirements.  THE EDGE SOFTWARE PREFERRED.  

• Proficiency in analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation.

• Experience in estimating roofing projects using Excel Spreadsheets (Edge Estimating experience is a plus).

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Exceptional communication and time management skills.

• Capable of giving clear instructions and explaining situations or problems effectively

Pay:  Starting at $100,000 Annual salary.
