Who We Want

We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer *to work in our Engineering department within our Flex Air division at our *Copper Ave. *location in Fenton, MI.* Flex Air is focused on delivering industry leading and energy efficient high-performance HVAC systems. Every solution is meticulously engineered to meet and exceed our customer's expectations. Our products consist of custom air handling units, pre-fabricated modular systems and retrofits. []{#_Hlk163639200}The Sr. Electrical Engineer will review project specifications, research, design, and document electrical/electromechanical solutions for commercial and industrial HVAC, hydronic plants, and electrical power distribution projects. Provide electrical engineering support for installation, testing, and repair of electrical/electromechanical products and systems. Additionally, they will provide engineering support for installation, testing, and repair of products and systems.

 

What You Will Be Doing

Lead the design and engineering of custom electrical systems that meet specific customer requirements.

Evaluate products and vendors to ensure function, performance, and adherence to customer specifications for each project.

Create, modify, and review 2D and 3D CAD data, One-Line Diagrams, product documentation and bills of materials to confirm products meet the full intent of the customer design requirements.

Assure product quality and function by developing and reviewing engineering best practices and SOPs.

Work cross functional across sales, operations, and quality departments to ensure product designs satisfy requirements of all key stakeholders.

Support manufacturing with guidance and troubleshooting of build issues.

Support project management with project schedule and requirement coordination.

Ensure designs comply, from an engineering standpoint, with all federal, state, or local laws and regulations (i.e. OSHA, NEC, etc).

Ensure reliable operation of equipment.

Review cost estimate and job specific requirements and report
