Job Description Summary

The Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist will work on-site at the Erlanger, KY Service Center to service and manufacture large scale, power generation equipment along with their subassemblies by following blueprints and specific work instructions.

This position’s shift schedule is Monday to Friday from 6:45AM - 3:15PM. Overtime and Weekend Work is available based on customer needs.

Job Description

Your Role:

• Work in a shop environment safely with zero accidents and/or injuries

• Set-up and operate CNC equipment including fixtures and tooling

• Read CNC programs, familiar with G & M codes.

• Make minor edits to CNC programs.

• Read and interpret Engineered Blueprint drawings.

• Understand and apply geometric tolerances.

• Set up and safely use various inspection tools and gages (i.e., inner diameter (I/D) & outer diameter (O/D) Mics, calipers, Pi-tape, bore gages, Tri-mics, thread gages, etc...)

• Machine to required tolerances of .001” - .005.”

• Determine machining feeds and speeds and tool selections.

• Work effectively with team to ensure successful delivery to customer.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school Diploma / GED

• 5+ years CNC Machining Experience

Desired Characteristics:

• Horizontal Milling Experience

• Ability to follow all safety rules and wear all PPE as required.

• Experience with GE Fanuc Controls and proven ability to use shop math, including trigonometry and geometry.

• Ability and willingness to work overtime, various shifts, holidays and weekends, as required.

• Ability to follow work rules, carry out instructions either written, oral, or diagram form.

• Desire to take ownership and accountability in work and in company success.

• Ability to work well with others and communicate problems clearly and effectively with support team.
