Cash Applications Associate II

The Cash Applications Associate II is responsible for ensuring payments are applied in a prompt manner, to provide our Collections and Sales teams with up to date Aging amounts. This position is also responsible for invoice processing, as well as payment posting and credit application processing which are all integral parts of our business. The Cash Applications Associate II will report to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor.

Essential Functions

  • Invoice processing (mailing, emailing and faxing)

  • Payment application – (Lockbox, ACH, EFT, wires, and checks)

  • Credit application processing – Running financial report from 3rd party and gathering trade / bank references

  • Develop relationship with Sales team to ensure efficiency for new customer onboarding

  • Work closely with other teams including accounts receivable (AR) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

  • BOL verification – to ensure manual shipments are processed through our system

  • Running various reports and resolving issues on a regular basis or sending them to the appropriate parties for resolution.

  • Pull and resolve all orders that have not progressed to an awaiting shipping status

  • Pull and resolve all orders that are awaiting invoice interface but have holds or pricing issues

  • Pull the partial pallet report send to appropriate parties for resolution

  • Pull picked status report and send to appropriate plants for closure

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 Years – Experience in Field

  • 2 Years – Experience in Position

  • 0 Years – Experience managing people/projects

Competencies

  • Intermediate Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel

  • Basic Accounting skills (equivalent to 1 year college level Accounting course)

Education

  • Minimum Required:

  • High School Diploma

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance or other related field

  • Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or other related field

Typical Compensation Range

Pay Rate Type: Hourly

$22.35 - $30.17 / Hourly
