Position Title: Program Manager, Tax Help Colorado Status: Full-time, exempt Salary: An amount in the beginning of the pay range, $48,000 - $52,000 annually, with consideration given for experience above the minimum requirements. The Tax Help Colorado program works to help families and individuals connect with valuable tax credits like the Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit, and free tax preparation services. Under the leadership of the Vice President of Community Impact and the Director of Tax Help Colorado, this position manages Tax Help Colorado's volunteer recruitment, retention, and training program and provides support to the Tax Help Colorado team in implementing the Tax Help Colorado pro Essential Responsibilities Recruit volunteers through community, company, and school engagements. Develop and update training materials. Lead volunteer training in fall and winter. Create and distribute volunteer newsletter. Plan and coordinate volunteer recognition tools for all students and volunteers. Visit tax sites to evaluate volunteer experience. Conduct surveys and evaluate areas of improvement in volunteer recruitment, training, and experience. Provide guidance and feedback for social media related to volunteer recruitment and messaging. Support Tax Help Colorado staff in implementing the Tax Help Colorado program and effectively operating the tax sites: Provide necessary support to participating colleges and high schools related to student recruitment, operating procedures, and customer service assistance to taxpayers. Prepare reports for Tax Help Colorado staff to use to help determine goals and projections for future years. Provide customer service support for sites during and outside of tax season. Assist in the creation of tax site materials. Additional Responsibilities: Ensure high touch communication with Tax Help Colorado and Mile High United Way partners, volunteers and students, and low-income families. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or other related fields. Experience: Minimum 3 years direct experience working with volunteers, including recruitment, retention, and training volunteers. Previous experience with tax preparation preferred. Special Skills/Knowledge: Outstanding project management, including strong organizational skills, the ability to meet organize and prioritize multiple tasks, and the ability to meet deadlines. Exceptional interpersonal skills, including developing relationships with organizations and individuals from diverse backgrounds. Ability to set goals and analyze activities to determine if goals were achieved. Strong focus on detail and accuracy; deadline oriented. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships. Demonstrated experience in effective writing with stellar written and verbal communication. Demonstrated experience with program development, budgeting, and outcome measurement. Demonstrated leadership and experience managing competing priorities and deadlines. Computer Skills: Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Office software products, Salesforce, tax software a d volunteer tracking platforms. Working Environment: 30% of time in typical office environment, 70% of time traveling to local offsite meetings; depending on the time of year Physical Activities: May be required to lift up to 20lbs.
