Description 100% REMOTE role!! We are in the Investment Management industry, located in Corte Madera, California. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant to join our team. The person in this role will be vital in performing month-end closings, preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling bank and balance sheet accounts, and preparing investor quarterly reports among other duties.

Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end closings, including the preparation and posting of journal entries • Prepare bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately represented • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data • Prepare investor capital schedules to provide accurate and timely information to investors • Prepare monthly budget variance analysis to identify and explain variances in the budget • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for review and decision making • Review operating results with property managers to ensure understanding and address any issues • Prepare recoverable income reconciliations, including reading and understanding tenant lease provisions and ensuring accurate calculations • Assist in the preparation of periodic property forecasts and annual budgets • Undertake special analytical projects as assigned • Establish and maintain good working relationships with project/property managers, tenants, and vendors

• General Ledger • Fixed Asset Ledger • Account Reconciliation • Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation • Bank Account Reconciliation • Bank Reconciliations • Cam Reconciliation • Journal Entries • Balance Sheets • Month End Close • Financial Statement • Budget Management • Budgeting • Yardi • Microsoft Excel Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accountant role within the Investment Management/Companies industry • Proficiency in General Ledger and Fixed Asset Ledger management • Proven track record in Account Reconciliation • Experience with Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation and Bank Account Reconciliation • Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations and Cam Reconciliation • Proficient in Journal Entries and managing Balance Sheets • Experience with Month End Close procedures • Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements • Experience in Budget Management and Budgeting processes • Proficiency in using Yardi software for financial management • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting • Must demonstrate strong ethical standards and integrity in all work-related actions • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Must have a valid work permit to legally work in the country of employment.
