Compensation (Pay): $55.69 to $80.75 hourly, based on experience.

    Job Summary: Ensures that the drug therapy needs of the patients are safely and effectively met. Works in prescription dispensing in the Peak Vista Community Health Centers pharmacies. Eligible for progression to clinical role in pharmacist-operated ambulatory care clinics.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reads and interprets medications and prescriptions.

  • Reviews prescriptions for appropriateness and confers with prescribers or patients on questionable orders.

  • Provides patient counseling and accurate and timely response to requests for drug information.

  • Verifies dispensed products and ensures proper storage of medications.

  • Promotes and demonstrates the mission, vision, and core values of Peak Vista.

  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with all departments, the management team, medical staff, and leadership.

  • Embraces cultural diversity amongst ourselves and our community.

  • Safeguards the human, financial, and material resources as well as data and information entrusted to us.

    Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     Education/Experience:

    Education: pharmacy degree required.

    Work experience: minimum of 1-year experience as a pharmacist desired. This role is an entry level position and has the potential for progression to a Clinical Pharmacist position, operating in Peak Vista's ambulatory care clinics.

    Additional qualifications:

    Computer Skills: Intermediate - utilizes pharmacy operating and point-of-sale software; accesses the intra/internet to manage timecard, review policies and procedures, and read company communications; uses e-mail and messaging to communicate with co-workers, leadership, and other departments

    Certificates and Licenses: Required: Registered Pharmacist with a current license in the state of Colorado.
