Gama-1 Technologies Backup System Admin Level III in College Park, Maryland

Provide backup/restore support for two on prem Data Centers running Linux and Windows operating systems. The COTS software used for backup/restore operations is CommVault and the tape infrastructure is SpectraLogic

Task Description:

Linux Administrative activities include:

  • Maintaining a stable Backup/restore environment

  • Patch backup servers monthly or on as needed basis for vulnerabilities

  • Proficient in VMWare Esxi infrastructure and knowledge on various backup methodologies available

  • Must excel at troubleshooting complex problems to resolution.

  • Must be able to configure and install Enterprise backup solutions and manage clients running the backup software.

  • Ability to do snapshot, full and incremental backups

  • Suggest newer backup technologies to move away from tape backups

Required skills/Level of Experience :

 

+ + 4 – 8 years of experience with planning, designing, and installing Enterprise backup solutions

  • Should have expert level knowledge on Spectralogic tape drives and CommVault COTS

  • VMWare ESXi

  • The ability to obtain a security clearance
