2nd shift Automatic Assembly Chicopee, MA Are you looking to work for a company who is growing and offering a competitive pay? Do you have strong basic math skills and have mechanical ability to set up an operate Minister presses? If so, we have a great opportunity for you! We are looking for a 3rd shift operator to work for a company in Chicopee on a temp to hire basis. Pay is 24.12. Daily Responsibilities include: Set up Minister Press to specifications with fixed gauges, scales, micrometers, etc. Place tooling in press and align as necessary. Perform final inspection on parts when lots are completed, record lot and charge number into log books to ensure traceability, and position into parts baskets in proper order on the regular carts. Determine feed length and stock thickness indicators. Obtain raw materials from storage location. Work from drawings, route sheets and instructions, select proper tooling, equipment and materials for the job, and remove or insert any removable sections as necessitated by individual job requirements Required Skills include: Basic knowledge and understanding of production tooling, which consists of multiple cavity steel and carbide dyes; understanding of related process equipment such as feeds, scrap cutters, stock straighteners, etc. Requires sufficient knowledge of mechanisms and tooling to Are you looking to work for a company who is growing and offering a competitive pay? Responsibilities include: Perform preventive maintenance inspection before the start of each shift as outlined on the Preventive Maintenance Check Sheet. Apply oil or grease to specified areas. Confirm the operability of all detectors. The ability to perform a more comprehensive PM on the machines including but not limited to oil changes. Basic troubleshooting of chain assembly equipment to understand the alarm messages, identify what this issue is and how to correct the issue. The assembly line consists of the following machines/operations: roller link assembly, chain assembly, riveting, pre-stressing, articulation checking, center distance measuring, automatic cutting, and endless operation, washing, final inspection, and packing. Adhere to work standards. Responsible for maintaining production schedules, quality control records, chain assembly records, shipping charge numbers, and the traceability records for each charge of chain and referring any unusual problems to the departmental supervisor. Prepare test samples for quality control per work standard. Record production and any other data required utilizing various forms as directed. Required Skills include: 2 years of manufacturing experience Basic math skills Strong mechanical aptitude maintain close tolerance on a variety of similar operations and work specifications. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow standard safety regulations.
