The DevOps Platform team is looking for a Software Operations Lead to focus on supporting the many tools our software engineers rely on daily to do their jobs. This role will ensure support for our platform tools is best in class, and work to establish operating models, processes, and workflows that scale across our IT and Engineering software teams. Your work will enable our software engineers to do what they do best – deliver great software.

What You Will Do :

  • Lead a team of software operations professionals globally, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our software systems, ensuring their smooth functioning, performance, and availability.

  • Collaborate with software development teams to ensure seamless integration of new features, updates, and enhancements into the production environment.

  • Own the administration and management of enterprise tools such as SonarQube, Black Duck, Postman, GitHub Enterprise, and Azure DevOps.

  • Develop and implement operational processes and procedures to optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.

  • Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal user experience.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and infrastructure teams, to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on the operational performance of the software systems.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to software operations, and provide recommendations for improvement and innovation.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Proven experience in software operations or a similar role, with a strong understanding of software development lifecycle and production environments.

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or computer technology is required.

  • Owning and maintaining internal software or engineering tools is a plus.

  • Solid knowledge of software operations methodologies, tools, and best practices.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and monitoring frameworks.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
