Thyssenkrupp Elevator Corporation Quality Engineer III Byhalia - US_901745_ET_TKELEC in Byhalia, Mississippi

TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer III in Byhalia, MS.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Use Gensuite to create Quality Pareto's for selecting Continuous Improvement actions to reduce rework and scrap generated by production cells.Support Operations and cross-functional teams with data and methods guidance in root cause analysis, corrective action development, and lesson learned documentation to continuously reduce the internal cost of quality.Administer the execution of product audits. Generate the Product Audit program, plan, and reports, and perform layered audits to verify effectiveness of audit execution by Technicians and Operators. This includes installing SPC where CpK measurements are acceptable (>1.33) and risk RPN's are highest. Administer the execution of process audits. Generate the Process Audit program, plan, and reports, and perform layered audits to verify effectiveness of audit execution by Technicians and Operators. Create and maintain process Control Plans and Quality Alerts for production, supplier containments, and DC containments. Manage suspect and non-conforming material, including executing SAP inventory movement transactions between WIP, the Quality Cage, and Scrap. Perform containment sorts as needed. Identify new Operators and compensate risk with increased product and process audit frequencies. Provide training when escapes detected. Support Logistics and Buyers with RTV and RGR processes. Manage the verification of rework performed on suspect material Create internal QCR's for suspect material.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science with a ASQ CQE or equivalent certification with 8 years' experience. Five or more years quality engineering experience is required. Demonstrates strong leadership skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must have a working knowledge and experience in ISO process. Must possess excellent customer service skills. Must possess strong decision-making abilities and able to work well with others. Must possess outstanding verbal and communication skills. Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite. (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Must be able to closely follow instructions and pre-established procedures/SOP to perform the functions of the job. Must understand data analysis applications. (i.e. inferential statistics and or the quality sciences) Preferred - Knowledge or documented training of Core Tools (PPAP, MSA, PFMEA, APQP, and SPC)
