(R.A.I.N.) is to enhance the well-being & quality of life of individuals by meeting the interim needs of people of all ages. About Program: R.A.I.N. transportation provides options for older adults & facilitates their ability to live more independently. With the availability of transportation, older adults are to participate in life-enhancing activities, & take care of their day-to-day errands, attend necessary medical appointments & generally increase their level of self-sufficiency. RAIN Transportation services Bronx Community Districts 9, 10, 11 & 12 only for Individual & Group services.

Position Summary: The Transportation Manager has the primary responsibility for ensuring top quality operations of the Individual & Group Transportation Program. This entails ensuring the subcontractor provides quality services that meets the funding standards. Ensures data collection is accurate & entered timely, unit reporting & contribution collection, report writing & supervision of supervisees. This position must supervise the Intake Clerk & uphold reporting procedures related to deliverables & outcomes required by the NYC Aging. Must handle client & staff grievance procedures & meet the reporting mandates. The manager must ensure data integrity, monitor & analyze performance, develop collaboration, referral process & MOUs which are essential to increase productivity.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Ensure & prepare a daily transp. reservation schedule & coordinate efficient pick up & drop offs by applying knowledge of customer schedules, peak times & alternate routes. - Apply NYC Aging Standards of Operations to daily transportation operations to ensure top quality services. - Maintain daily communication w/transportation sub-contractor to trouble shoot timely.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: 1. EDUCATION: Min. qualification: An assoc's. degree in human service Field, Social Work or health related field strongly recommended. At least three yrs. of direct exp. in transportation & working w/vulnerable populations. 2. EXPERIENCE: Admin. exp. in human service or related program(s), including exp. in quality assurance/improvement & program management. 3. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Includes consideration of personal characteristics; ability to establish trusting relationships, accepts individual differences 4. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions. 5. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Bilingual skills necessary (Spanish/English). Excellent communication skills & proficiency in both languages. Ability to read & comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence & memos. 6. COMPUTER SKILLS: Familiarity w/& ability to utilize computer programs, including a suite of office software such as Microsoft Office. Ability to work excel program for reporting purposes & data collection platforms. 7. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply & divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions & decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio & percentage. Ability to add & subtract two-digit numbers & to multiply & divide w/10& 39's and 100&39's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money & weight measurement, volume, & distance.
