In Operations Engineering Sustaining Product team, we are using our expert knowledge to support regular production of electron/ion beam microscopes.

As Operations Engineer specialized on system engineering and manufacturing processes you will be responsible for sustaining engineering support of manufacturing and supply chain and for continuous improvement in quality and effectivity of our production to ensure satisfaction of our customers.

Our team is closely collaborating with various departments, specifically but not exclusively OE NPI, R&D, Logistics, Supply chain or Product Life Cycle departments.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide technical support from product release into manufacturing through end of service.

• Develop and maintain technical product and process documentationusingcompanystandards, tools, and processes.

• Conduct detailed analysis of manufacturing processes aiming for improvement in production efficiency and product quality.

• Support the supply chain with engineering expertise. This includes the analysis of parts for reliability, manufacturability, vendor qualification support and supplier technical quality issues.

• Support GlobalTechnical Support department as necessary. May require some on-site support at customers.

• Perform hands-on assembly, testing and training of personnel as required during project work (i.e., assembly, test or measurement, problem solving).

• Build excellent relations with collaborating departments.

• Build excellent relations with our suppliers.

Requirements

• University/higher professional education in a technical direction

• Previous experience withmanufacturing processes and knowledge of methods and tools how to improve them.

• Good insight about electron and ion beam microscopy

• Self starter, used to taking initiative

• Pragmatic and solution driven

• Enjoys taking responsibility and leading new initiatives

• Fluent in the English language – in both verbal and written forms

• Ability to occasionally travel regionally and internationally (10%)
