The team you will be a part of

The Procurement team identifies researches and evaluates suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Recognizes and evaluate sales, promotional campaigns, and other opportunities to secure reduced prices. Assesses supplier's products to ensure that they comply with specifications and meet the organization's quality standards.

This role in summary

Whirlpool is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill an open Senior Supplier Operations Analyst position located at either our Riverview Campus in Benton Harbor, Michigan or at one of our manufacturing sites across the Midwest. This individual will manage the supply base to prevent availability issues, anticipating and avoiding parts supply problems. They will also be responsible for leading cross-functional teams (internal & external) to drive resolution and maintain manufacturing production by resolving supplier-caused disruptions. Domestic travel of upwards of 40% is required in this role to visit both suppliers and our Midwest manufacturing sites.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Supplier Risk Management

  • Capacity Analysis, resolving potential issues due to demand and/or supplier constraints

  • Constraint Management, managing investment process, preparing business cases, following the end-to-end purchasing process

  • Performs carry-over parts analysis

  • Supplier Caused DTC (Deliver to Commitment)

  • PAIN (Parts Availability Issues Notification) resolution

  • Manages and executes supplier Maintenance of Business activities within assigned commodities for all or any plants

  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders as part of the project execution (MCL (Material Control and Logistics), Suppliers, Procurement, Subsystems, Manufacturing, Marketing, Quality)

  • Provides input and updates to a Supply Operations leadership to inform plant and business stakeholders

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Materials Management or Manufacturing

  • Domestic travel of upwards of 40% to visit both suppliers and our Midwest manufacturing sites

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain

  • Communication skills

  • SAP / Windchill experience

  • GS3:P2P Purchasing System experience

  • Proactive, Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, and Analytical Skills
