What the day will look like

Your days will be varied and could include any or all of the following:

• Leading and mentoring team members• Reviewing code and ensuring the highest possible standard for quality• Working with the other team leads and the Product Lead to define and deliver productarchitecture• Ensuring Agile epics are progressing on schedule and reporting appropriately• Engaging with business leads, business analysts, actuaries and QA experts to understand• requirements, and ensure the software delivery exceeds expectations• Actively driving product and team improvements• Being a quality evangelist – ensuring that the product is of the highest possible quality, andthat all work is exceptional• Working with the Product Owner, Programme Management Office and DevelopmentManagement in sprint and release planning• Ensuring all team members excel in their roles and adhere to the highest possible standards• Writing and architecting secure, efficient, testable, maintainable and functionally correctcode While the role will undoubtedly require hands-on development work, it is expected that the majority of time will be spent working through others.

Essential Skills and Experience:• Technical leadership• Team leadership• Strong web application design experience• Strong track record in Testing (unit, end-to-end, etc), Continuous Integration and Delivery• Experience of working in, and preferably managing, large product development teams, in anAgile development environment• Strong understanding of the importance of software security best practices• Good familiarity with application architectures and design patterns• Development and release best practices• Experience with modern web UI technologies and applications• Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures)• ASP.NET Web API• Git (incl. GitFlow)Good to have:• Full stack C# Web development• Web API 2• HTML 5, CSS 3, SASS• Microsoft SQL Server 2019 (T-SQL, stored procedures)• Microsoft Visual Studio 2022• DevOps (Octopus Deploy, Azure Pipelines)• Azure Cloud development• .NET Core 6+• Angular (14+) with TypeScript (or similar modern UI framework)• Angular Material• Flexbox Layout• Angular CLI, Webpack• Cypress (end-to-end testing)• Jest, nUnit / xUnit, TDD / BDD, etc.
