Looking for an opportunity to make a difference? Then you may have found your next career move. We’re looking for a Coax Splicer to join our team and help connect America. With direction, performs duties as a Coax Splicer as a part of the construction of telecommunications to ensure scope of work performed is within standards required by our customer.
What you’ll do…
You will, with guidance, repair or splice in new line as needed to complete the testing and certification of the project.
You will, with guidance, place and install required coax cable when necessary to complete assignment(s).
You will, with guidance, install all passive and active devices, pedestals, and vaults and coax splice cases required to house CATV equipment per customer requirements.
You will test Coax-RF lines for acceptable signal between points-continuity and fault.
You will optimize new Nodes and splice in node splits to reduce capacity
You will utilize RF Meters and TDR accurately
You will close a project by completing production sheets, verifying proper levels after activation, and adjust and troubleshoot, as necessary.
You will reconcile all issued parts and materials daily to ensure accurate material usage counts.
Qualifications
Who we are looking for…
Must have knowledge of installation of equipment such as nodes, amplifiers, passives
Knowledge of RF, forward and return signal
Must be detail oriented and proficient with paperwork
Ability to read and build from blueprints and/or wire diagrams
Ability to distinguish colors
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Possess a valid driver’s license or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position
Ability to work in emergencies, nights and weekends if needed including but not limited to holidays and extending days.
Ability to be on-call
Inner city traveling required between job sites (company truck)
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber.
