Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an HR Business Partner Manager 2 to provide leadership within our Payload and Ground Systems Division (PGS), Engineering employee teams across our regions. The position will be located in either our Aurora CO or Redondo Beach CA location with occasional travel to customer sites across our customer groups.

As an HR Manager you will partner with the HR Leader to drive strategic human capital plans that support BU and division goals, providing HR guidance and counsel to leaders, managers, and the HR team regarding succession planning and talent development, organizational design and change, reward and recognition, compensation, organization effectiveness, managing performance and conduct, employee relations, and staffing.

Specific duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Establishing a solid understanding of the business, building and expanding relationships with engineering, , and creating close partnerships across HR centers of excellence (COE's).

  • Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities within the organization and developing solutions in partnership with leadership.

  • Providing business insight through data analytics, researching and benchmarking to inform and recommend solutions to enable business growth and/or support business integration.

  • Playing a key change leadership role in the company's transformation by reinforcing a culture of growth and innovation. Leading integration and change projects to evolve organizational capability and improve our operating model.

  • Leadership development-focused on comprehensive succession planning and strategic leadership movement. Collaborating with business leaders to build leadership depth and address critical roles/skills needs. Coaching leadership and HR team on employee development plans.

  • Consulting with and training management on managing performance and conduct. Performing complex and comprehensive investigations and develop organizational correction actions.

  • Leading a team of HR Business Partners that support geographically-dispersed internal customers.

  • Serving as the HR Business Partner to an internal customer base, employee through the director level.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field and 8+ years of applicable experience in HR, project management, compensation, talent acquisition and/or organizational effectiveness - OR - a Master's degree in HR or related field and 6+ years of applicable experience in HR, project management, compensation, talent acquisition or organizational effectiveness.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience leading/managing a team.

  • Demonstrated success in the application of HR principles, concepts, policies, and practice.

  • Demonstrated success in building or enhancing a collaborative work environment; have the capacity to understand people issues impacting the business.

  • Demonstrated the ability to plan, organize, implement and close multiple complex projects simultaneously on various HR work streams and meet schedule and commitments.

  • Ability to travel, as needed, to support a geographically dispersed client group.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience supporting and influencing senior executives.

  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and technology (Workday, SharePoint).

  • PHR (SHRM-CP) or SPHR (SHRM - SCP) certification.

Salary Range: $119,800 - $188,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
