Job Summary:

Our Supply business is hiring an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Leader! This position has strategic oversight and leadership of all Environmental, Health and Safety responsibilities within the Supply Americas Business as well as leading EHS for our Atlanta, GA site. The business includes warehousing locations in St Peters, MO, Atlanta, GA and over 250 parts stores across North America. This position is located in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall EHS strategic leadership for the Supply, Americas business. Will design and implement programs to enhance and improve performance across the business. Key metrics include injury reduction, improving compliance programs, and reductions in waste, water, and energy.

  • Inspire and partner with Supply, Americas operation, and site leadership teams in identifying priorities, and setting objectives and targets. The leader will ensure the SBU aligns with corporate and America's strategies and continues to develop a strong EHS culture.

  • Identifies Supply, Americas’ site-specific data trends and establishes programs and training to improve performance, reduce hazards, create a safe work environment, and advance environmental goals.

  • Strong participation and partnership with the Americas EHS team. A thought leader in the development of EHS management systems and BOS deployment. Collaborate with America's EHS peers to share and implement best practices.

  • Ensures timely and accurate reporting of site and business metrics.

  • Build a strong Supply, Americas EHS team through career planning, coaching, and mentoring.

  • Effectively influence site leaders at each location to create specific EHS plans to improve overall performance.

  • Ensure all EHS-related records are accurately maintained/organized and in compliance with Trane Technologies, local, state, provincial, and national requirements or any other regulatory agency rules and regulations.

  • Ensure contractors and subcontractors have implemented an effective safety process by conducting pre-qualifications and by visiting/auditing job sites on a regular basis.

  • Participate in business teams as needed to assist in the development of safety policies and procedures, projects, campaigns, and committees, as well as corporate compliance audits.

  • Provide information, metrics, and programs to customers for customer-required contractor qualifications.

  • Coach/mentor all employees, including leadership, on safe work practices, hazard identification, and risk management.

  • Complete and manage risk assessments and recommend control measures for all potential areas of concern.

  • Oversee EHS regulatory reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Environmental Health and Safety experience in a related industry/field, with a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Sciences, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree in a related EHS discipline preferred.

  • A proven track record of leading multiple sites in developing and implementing safety and environmental strategies, and demonstrating effective and measurable improvement against goals.

  • Experience and proven proficiency in managing projects on environmental footprint reduction (Waste, energy, GHG)

  • Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations, experience in the Interpretation of local and state environmental and safety and standards.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand, train, and lead a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to travel 50% of the time- including consecutive weeks at times.

  • Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolds, ramps, poles and the like.

  • Ability to move about a very large facility to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another, including in unconditioned spaces.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Salary: $142,000 - $189,000 base salary. Total compensation will include an incentive.
