BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The Fluid Connector Specialist II is a dedicated specialist focused on selling Parker Hannifin Fluid Connector Group products and services. This Specialist will interact with established and prospective customers in coordination with all Sellers, Business Team Leaders, Regional Directors and multiple support personnel within the MSC organization. The primary objectives of this role are to retain and grow market share, while taking an active role in training other associates and customers around Parker Fluid Connector Group products, programs, and services. In addition, mentoring FCS Level I associates, developing Fluid Connector strategies & supporting the expansion of the program are expectations.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recognized as a leader within their Regions and amongst peers in providing coaching to other associates within MSC.

  • Act as a role model, with the ability to provide mentoring for FCS level 1 associates while demonstrating MSC values.

  • Ability to support cross-functional projects according to growing the program or business needs.

  • Ability to lead sub-groups to move the FCS program forward.

  • Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

  • Supports attainment of fluid connector sales growth goals and drives new product introduction with a focus on Parker Hannifin & Fluid Connector related solutions and services.

  • Ensures growth of total fluid connector sales, working with multiple seller resources across a defined Region.

  • Responsible for visiting and interacting with established and prospective customers as needed.

  • Ability to leverage the company’s value offering to the customer to include Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), other newly introduced inventory solutions and web-based solutions.

  • Studies company’s products/services, sales techniques, and culture, under guidance of the

  • Drives cost savings to customers through equipment partnership placements.

  • Responds to both customer & associate needs consistent with company standards, culture, and business practices.

  • Demonstrates teamwork to ensure achievement of team and company growth goals.

  • Maintains sales records in salesforce.com and generates relevant market/sales reports for company’s management as needed.

  • Develops a personal business plan and opportunity funnel to establish annual goals.

  • Assists Regional Director’s and Business Team Leaders as needed in coordinating training sessions on fluid connectors.

  • Lead and coordinates Fluid Connector Customer Needs Analysis into customers within a defined Regional territory.

  • Responsible for fostering & growing Parker relationship in a defined Regional geography.

  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.

  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • A High School Diploma or the equivalent is required.

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

  • 3-5 years outside sales experience is required.

  • Previous field sales experience with a distributor or hose fabrication shop is preferred.

  • Parker PTAC certification.

  • Must achieve targeted sales budget for 12 consecutive months as a Level 1 FCS.

    SKILLS:

  • Good communication skills are required.

  • Basic knowledge of fluid connector products.

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience analyzing data preferred.

  • Leadership acumen.

  • Ability to mentor Level 1 FCS & additional selling resources in a Regional geography.

  • Ability to organize & execute team strategies leveraging the growth of the overall FCS program.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 75% of the time may be required.

  • This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”).
