About:

Our client is a leader in the health supplements industry that is experiencing incredible growth and scaling quickly from $100M to $250M by 2025. Due to the growth, they are looking for a new VP of Manufacturing to lead operations, streamline processes, and help scale the company even further through their innovative approach and commitment to quality.

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Manufacturing to lead their manufacturing operations. The VP will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards. This position reports directly to the CEO and requires a strong leader with proven experience in manufacturing management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with company goals and objectives. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and increase productivity.

  • Operational Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability. Set clear performance expectations and ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.

  • Production Management: Oversee all aspects of production, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization. Monitor production metrics and KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Implement robust quality control measures to maintain product quality and consistency. Lead efforts to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with supply chain partners to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials and components. Develop relationships with suppliers and vendors to support production needs and drive cost savings initiatives.

  • Budgeting and Cost Management: Develop and manage manufacturing budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effective operations. Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve profitability while maintaining quality standards.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including R&D, engineering, and sales, to support product development, launch new products, and address customer requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and drive alignment across functions.

  • Talent Development: Recruit, train, and develop manufacturing talent. Provide coaching and mentorship to team members to foster professional growth and maximize performance. Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the manufacturing organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing management, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role. (Pharmaceutical or Supplement industry preferred)

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and best practices, including Lean methodologies and ISO standards.

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, supplement, or other clean room industries.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive results, solve complex problems, and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards relevant to manufacturing operations.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and manufacturing CRM software systems.

  • Certification in project management or related fields is a plus.
